'Ask Guðmundur', the Iceland human-powered search engine, has been nominated for four Euro Effie marketing awards.
'Ask Guðmundur' is part of Promote Iceland's Inspired by Iceland promotional campaign and consists of seven Icelandic men and women, all named Guðmundur or Guðmunda, fielding real questions from visitors to Iceland.

Since the initiative was launched, the Guðmundurs/das have answered over 1,000 questions from over fifty countries throughout the world. Over 100 of these questions have been answered by means of a dedicated video, and these can be seen on YouTube here.
'Ask Guðmundur' is up for awards in four categories: Best demonstration of integrated effectiveness, David Vs Goliath, (for campaigns launched in environments with string competition from large companies and brands), Leisure & Entertainment and Small Budget.
The award ceremony will be held in Brussels on 18 October and the full list of nominations can be seen here.
